TBK Bank Sports Complex adds new restaurant

The TBK Bank Sports Complex is expanding the roster with a new restaurant.
The Dish is located at the back of the main TBK building, near the sand volleyball courts. Drivers can enter the main lot and drive past the charging stations and around the building where there is ample parking and a view of soccer fields.
The complex opened in 2018 and has gone through its fair share of changes and buildouts, said Adam Jacobsen, general manager of entertainment for TBK. The back part of the building now hosts the new restaurant, along with the MercyOne Genesis Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, Bettendorf location.
Jacobsen said crews spent about three months installing walls and electrical systems and adding in furniture to make the space more inviting. The room features a large bar and tables for groups, with a big home plate-shaped karaoke stage in the corner, pool tables and dart boards.
“Ultimately, it’s kind of its own little area. A little more adult-oriented, just more of a bar feel than you get with the overall sports complex and entertainment center side of things,” he said.
Other food options inside TBK include the full kitchen and bar near the arcade and bowling alley, with an additional bar in the mezzanine above. With kids activities close by, it can be a little louder in that area, Jacobsen said, while The Dish will be centered more on a casual setting where diners can watch sports on the many TVs in the space, and eventually, play sand volleyball right outside.
Opening day for The Dish was Saturday, with the food and atmosphere well received, Jacobsen said. On the menu are traditional bar food items like burgers, sandwiches and appetizers, along with a kids menu. The bar features local brews and a full selection of signature cocktails.
The Dish will be open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. until 12 a.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until midnight. Staff will host music bingo on Tuesday nights and karaoke on Saturdays.
Happy hour will be held daily from 5-7 p.m. with half price appetizers offered from 9-11 p.m.
