Taylor Swift to appear on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon

It’s been a long time coming, but Taylor Swift is returning to late night television.
Swift will be appearing on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Oct. 6 – just three days after the release of her latest album “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Fallon on Thursday posted a cryptic teaser revealing Swift’s appearance with a coded video on social media and the caption, “Not a lot going on at the moment.” Swift has twice posted to Instagram with that caption, the first time before her surprise album “folklore” in 2020, and then again a few months later with its surprise sister album “evermore.”
The video showed the late-night host at a roulette table, placing his chips on the numbers 10, 6 and 25. The ball then landed on No. 13 – a number which Swifties know all too well is Swift’s favorite.
Fallon sighed before saying, “Baby, that’s show business for you,” in a nod to Swift’s caption on her latest album-reveal post. Three showgirls – in full sequined and feathered leotards – then walked by Fallon in the hallway.
“@taylorswift joins us Monday 10/6/25 to talk The Life of a Showgirl!! Tune in at 11:35/10:35c on @nbc!” the official Instagram account for “The Tonight Show” commented on the post.
It will be Swift’s seventh time appearing on “The Tonight Show” – the most sit-downs she has had with current late-night hosts. She last appeared in 2022, three days after the release of her album “Midnights,” which took home album of the year at the 2024 Grammys.
Perhaps her most memorable appearance was in 2019, when Swift’s mother secretly gave Fallon never-before-seen video footage of the singer shortly after she underwent laser eye surgery.
At the end of the video, a loopy Swift is lying in bed eating a banana. Her mother tells her not to fall asleep with the banana in her mouth.
“I’m not asleep. My mind is alive,” Swift replied.
Swift will certainly have plenty to talk about when she takes a seat at Fallon’s desk. Her 12th studio album releases Oct. 3 – with “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” hitting AMC Theaters the same weekend. Swift is also yet to have a public interview since getting engaged to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, which the couple announced in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26.
Fallon did chat with Kelce about the engagement when he appeared on the “New Heights” podcast with the groom-to-be and his brother and probable best man Jason Kelce.
“Are you working on planning the wedding?” Fallon asked. “Is that the next move?”
“Yeah, that’s the next step,” Kelce said.
“Don’t stress about it,” Fallon responded.
“That one’s gonna be easy,” Kelce joked. “I just gotta figure out how to win a football game first. Wedding planning’s gonna be easy compared to trying to figure out how to catch a g–d—m football.”
Fallon then asked if the couple was thinking “DJ or band.”
“We’re live music kinda people,” Kelce said.
As Swift’s newest era begins again, all this buzz begs the question… are you ready for it?
