Taylor Swift was spotted out to dinner with long-time friend Gigi Hadid in matching autumnal fits as they visited exclusive club Zero Bond in New York City. The night out was exactly a month after Swift’s The Life of A Showgirl release, which broke several records including having the biggest first-week debut in modern music history — breaking Adele’s 10-year hold over the record with her album 25 — and shortly after fans speculated that Travis Kelce’s ex took a swipe at her in a Halloween post on social media. According to Taylor Swift Style fashion writer Sarah Chapelle – a blog which tracks what Taylor wears and how her fashion fits into the storytelling that goes along with her discography – Swift was wearing a new-to-her brand in Auter (created by stylist Rob Zangardi) for her Italian wool peacoat, which retails for $1,450. (Picture: BACKGRID) She paired this with snakeskin-style boots (thankfully, Swifties now know this likely isn’t an easter egg for Reputation Taylor’s Version), a matching bag from long-time friend Stella McCartney and a necklace stack from Selim Mouzannar that has been a repeat in recent candids. All of this made for a chic, autumnal outfit that matched Hadid’s leather trousers and soft black trench coat. The ring was designed by Kindred Lubeck with help from fiancé Travis Kelce, and has had fans obsessing over it ever since the engagement was announced on August 26. (Picture: BBC) The outing comes amid discussion that Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole, who dated Kelce on-and-off for five years until 2022, shaded Taylor Swift with her recent Halloween costume. The model and sports presenter showed up to Halloween weekend looking beautiful dressed as Toni Braxton circa 2000, which some thought looked similar to Swift’s outfit on The Life of A Showgirl, due to the same silver see-through design. (Picture: @iamkaylanicole) Kayla imitated the music video for Braxton’s hit song ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ in her Halloween post – which had lyrics Swifties thought may be pointed, including: ‘What are you thinking? / Did you know about us back then? / Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend? / I’m not thinking ’bout him / But you married him / Do you know I made him leave? / Do you know he begged to stay with me? / He wasn’t man enough for me.’ (Picture: Getty Images) This isn’t the first time Kayla has received backlash and online trolling due to Swift’s relationship with her ex, and she believes most of the trolling comes from ‘miserable’ Swifties. In the past year, Nicole has also been questioned extensively about her dating life with ex Kelce. She has said she is done romancing athletes, and supported the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory at the 2025 Super Bowl over Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs. While some may see this as fairly normal behaviour in response to a relationship that has soured, others have criticised her behaviour extensively. With lyrics like: ‘You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.’ Fans think this alludes to Nicole, who Kelce once publicly scolded for constantly being on her phone.
