Taylor Swift’s 12th album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’, is set to be released on 3 October.

A release party for the album, titled ‘Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl’, will be held in cinemas.

The AMC Theatres app crashed due to overwhelming demand as fans attempted to purchase tickets for Swift’s event.

The app displayed an ‘estimated wait time’ message, affecting not only Swift’s event tickets but also other film purchases and reservations.

The incident caused frustration among other cinema-goers who were unable to use the AMC app for their own ticket needs.
