Taste the cakes that went viral: Tea Jenny’s cakes are back on the menu in Falkirk with new merger

Award-winning Tea Jenny’s, which closed its King’s Court premises in Falkirk in 2022, is back, as Jenni Duncan brings her bakery prowess into partnership with another iconic Falkirk name. Central Perc Café at 18 Grahams Road is already renowned for its afternoon teas and traditional menu. Now Jenni has gone into business with owner Robert Hannigan, as the pair partner up to form Tea Jenny’s – Central Perc. The café is going to enjoy a makeover, and Jenni and the head chef are already working together on a new contemporary menu, merging the brands to offer the best of both worlds to customers. And Jenni’s award-winning cakes will be a sure fire hit – Jenni doesn’t do traditional, she makes quirky, colourful takes on originals, and offers a whole lot of fun packed with flavour. Of course, her meringues – “made as big as your head” – are legendary, and are sure to be a winner now they are on the menu at Tea Jenny’s – Central Perc. The cakes have gone viral in the past and it’s easy to see why – they look (almost) too good to eat. They are on the menu seven days a week at Tea Jenny’s – Central Perc, as well as some familiar favourites for breakfast, lunch or a mid-shopping snack. Sweet, savoury (or both), there’s hearty food on offer from 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am to 5pm on Sundays. With the new menu likely to be launched in the coming weeks, make sure you keep an eye on socials, or pop it to try it in person yourself. I loved the decor, the staff were friendly chatty and attentive, the food was freshly prepared and we’ll presented. I love the cute little tea cozie that came with my pot of tea. Definitely my favourite place in town now and will be back! “ Another wrote: “Lovely wee afternoon for my 90 year old gran and aunty. Nice portions (half for pensioners) and love the way they do their tea, proper stuff. Been here a few times over the years and never been disappointed, staff are great too.” With feedback like that, the new look Tea Jenny’s – Central Perc will be well worth trying out for yourself.
