Taste of Ethiopia celebrates authentic flavors while embracing community

Taste of Ethiopia is marking 20 years of sharing authentic flavors, culture, and community – all while surviving and thriving in an industry known for its challenges.
Meskerem Gebreyohannes and Yosthena Abraha joined “Live in the D” to share how the Detroit community has supported them over the years.
Meskerem remembers the city of Southfield welcoming her with open arms when she first opened her restaurant. Taste of Ethiopia regularly connects with the community around them by participating in city events, restaurant crawls, and festivals.
“The experience of eating together, it’s community, it’s love” said Yosthena, “a meal tastes better when it’s shared.”
Be sure to check out Taste of Ethiopia located in Southfield and get a sneak peak of what they have to offer in the video above.
