According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Williams will not be eligible to return until Tuesday, December 22 after being hit with the ban. Details regarding the specific violation he has been accused of are currently unclear. The Daily Mail has approached the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for comment. The 24-year-old running back has only made three appearances for the Bucs after being signed as an undrafted free agent back in May, registering four carries for 11 yards. After serving as a kick returner during their Week 5 win over Seattle, he rushed four times for 11 yards in Tampa Bay's Week 8 victory over New Orleans. Williams, the son of former NFL running back Jermaine Williams, spent his college career with LSU before declaring for the draft earlier this year. The Detroit Lions and Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles are the only other teams to get the better of them in 2025. After being suspended for six games, Williams will miss upcoming games against the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers. By the time he returns Tampa Bay will only have two regular-season outings remaining against the Miami Dolphins and Carolina again.
