The actor, who had been battling a severe liver-related illness for several years, breathed his last on Monday, November 10, in Chennai. Abhinay had opened up about his deteriorating health in recent years, revealing that he was fighting a serious liver condition and needed financial assistance for treatment. In one of his emotional video appeals that went viral, the actor shared, “I do not know if I will be around for longer,” and added that doctors had told him he might live only for another year and a half. According to reports, Abhinay’s body is currently at his residence in Chennai, where arrangements are being made for his funeral. Representatives from the Nadigar Sangam have been asked to oversee the last rites since the actor reportedly had no immediate family members.
