Prime Video and Believe India have joined forces to drop a powerhouse soundtrack for their upcoming Hindi Original series Do You Wanna Partner. More than just background music, the album sets the heartbeat of the show—a raw, fearless, and vibrant mix of sounds that mirror the drama, humor, and ambition at the core of this story.
A Dharmatic Production Backed by Karan Johar
The series, headlined by Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty, is produced by Dharmatic Entertainment under Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta, with Somen Mishra and Archit Kumar serving as executive producers. Co-directed by Collin D’Cunha and Archit Kumar and written by Nandini Gupta, Aarsh Vora, and Mithun Gangopadhyay, the series follows two childhood best friends who launch their own craft beer startup in a male-dominated industry.
Joining the leads are Jaaved Jaaferi, Nakuul Mehta, Shweta Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi, Sufi Motiwala, and Rannvijay Singha, making it a rich ensemble that balances star power with fresh energy.
Music: The Pulse of the Series
What makes Do You Wanna Partner stand out even more is its music. The official album has been curated by Believe India and features an eclectic lineup of composers—Rajan Batra, Harshvardhan Gadhvi, Ronit Vinta, Juss, Prabhdeep, RUHH & JOH, KhoslaRaghu, and Kanishk Seth. The result? A sonic journey that blends indie intimacy, hip-hop swagger, electro-sufi textures, and pure pop hooks.
Highlights include:
“Udd Jaavan” by Jasleen Royal, composed by Ronit Vinta — an anthem of ambition and dreams.
“Ishqa” by Rajan Batra and Harshvardhan Gadhvi — a hauntingly beautiful indie track about love and surrender.
“Kol Kol” by Juss — playful, swagger-filled, and instantly addictive.
“Hum Dum” by Prabhdeep — a hip-hop ode to first love and its joyful intensity.
“Gediyaan” — an unapologetic party anthem.
“Tanhayi Mein” by Kavita Seth & Kanishk Seth — a soulful, electro-sufi blend of intimacy and depth.
Artists Speak: Love, Hustle & Music
Hip-hop artist Prabhdeep describes his track Hum Dum as “the heartbeat of first love, a pure realisation of falling, giving, and cherishing. It celebrates the joy of finding someone who makes life brighter, bringing gratitude, wonder, and the sweet obsession of love into a song of happiness.”
Rajan Batra shares the inspiration behind Ishqa, “It’s about the heart surrendering to love—how it can break, heal, and still pull you back in. It’s raw and emotional, and a reminder that no matter how much we resist, the heart always finds its way back. Harsh and I were thrilled with how beautifully the song fits the show’s story and visuals.”
Shilpa Sharda, Director Artist Services and Label, Believe India & South Asia, expressed excitement about the collaboration, “We’re incredibly excited about the music releases for this series. The soundtrack, especially the title track ‘Udd Jaavan,’ has been receiving phenomenal responses since its video release, instantly trending on short-format video platforms. We are deeply grateful for our partnership with Prime Video and Dharma Productions.”
A Cultural Moment in the Making
Do You Wanna Partner premieres on September 12 on Prime Video in India and across 240 countries and territories. The music album is now available on all major streaming platforms, with the official video for “Udd Jaavan” already making waves.
With its mix of powerful performances, fresh storytelling, and a soundtrack that refuses to play safe, the series promises to be a pop-culture moment for both audiences and the Indian indie music scene.
