Takeaway worker pestered by sleazy chef hits out after creep took photos without her consent

A takeaway worker who was pestered by a sleazy chef is fuming after he was put on the sex offenders ‘ register for just six months. The female employee endured weeks of lewd comments from dad of three Ladi Haderi. She was shocked to find he had taken photos of her when she wasn’t looking. The brave 19-year-old was at Hamilton Sheriff Court to see Haderi, 45, dodge a jail sentence. He admitted making sexual comments and taking photos without consent which he then sent to her. It happened when they worked at Gyros takeaway in Larkhall, Lanarkshire, between September 10 and October 4, 2023. The young mum said Laderi made explicit comments, asked her to go to a nightclub with him and shouted at her in front of customers when she made it clear she wasn’t interested. She added: “I ended up losing my job. The takeaway owner said he had no other chef and if I couldn’t work with Haderi I’d have to leave. “I haven’t been able to work since and I’m being treated for anxiety and depression. “Six months on the sex offenders’ register isn’t long enough. “I’ve posted on social media about what happened and that’s done more good than the criminal justice system.” Defence lawyer Gregor Jarrott said first offender Haderi had made a “foolish mistake” and background reports were positive. He told the court Haderi, of Springburn, Glasgow, had lost his latest job after a social media post about his conviction. Sheriff John Speir said the “most appropriate” sentence was six months of social work supervision and 100 hours of unpaid community work. The sheriff also imposed a four-year non-harassment order.
