    Syrian students decry art nudity ban: 'A political decision reminiscent of ISIS'

    A few weeks ago the mother of one of the female students in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University sent a complaint to the Higher Education Ministry, claiming that there were “immoral sights” in the sculpture department. The ministry responded to the complaint quickly – with an immediate decision to ban nude images in the department.
