LOADINGERROR LOADING Jennifer Flavin, Sylvester Stallone’s wife, spouted questionable theories in response to a question about transgender children in Hollywood. (Watch the video below.) Flavin, a former model, weighed in on the podcast of former Trump administration spokesperson Katie Miller, who’s married to White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller. Advertisement Miller asked Flavin why “so many” children of Hollywood celebrities are transgender. “Is there something in the water?” she inquired. “I just think Hollywood is, you know, it’s all about expression,” Flavin replied in an Instagram preview clip shared by Miller on Sunday. “So, you know, however you want to express yourself. So if you feel like a cat today, you’re a cat. And it’s so loosey-goosey.” “I don’t think that we’re really understanding that these kids are not our accessories,” Flavin continued. “They’re little human beings that need structure. And structure is really important for them because it helps their brain organize everything.” Advertisement Flavin, who appeared in “Rocky V” and “The Family Stallone” reality show, suggested without evidence that celebrity excess, including lavish homes and private planes, could encourage children to be transgender. “There’s just too much of everything,” she said. “It gets really confusing for a little person. It’s OK what you decide to be as an adult, but raise them just with good common sense.” Advertisement Flavin pivoted to how she raised her daughters. “I mean, my daughters were all tomboys,” she said. “They preferred to wear pants than dresses, you know? And they loved sports. But I never said, ‘Oh, you’re a boy now.’ I just said, ‘You love to play sports, you love to hang out with boys, that’s awesome.’” While children of celebrities, such as Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts’ daughter Kai and Robert De Niro’s daughter Airyn, have gotten publicity for being trans, there is no evidence that there are more trans children in Hollywood, or that more kids transition due to their show business upbringing.
