Swansea City CEO Tom Gorringe says the club have already explored the possibility of linking up with high-profile investors in India as they look to seek fresh opportunities in international markets. The Swans have already brought Luka Modric and Snoop Dogg on board as minority investors in recent months, in moves Gorringe believes will have hugely positive commercial implications for the club. Speaking on the Business of Sport podcast , Gorringe made the point that both individuals boast a combined online following of 281 million - ahead of any club in the Premier League . However, Gorringe has suggested there's still room for more celebrity investment from elsewhere around the world. "The model that the ownership put in place was always to attract high-profile individuals that enable us to attract new audiences, and ultimately give a strategic benefit to the football club," he said. "Luka obviously covers off the football performance element, while Snoop is obviously in the entertainment business and has a huge following. "I think there's probably people we can get from different parts of the world." Pressed on what the ideal next investor might look like, Gorringe added: "India is somewhere we've looked at. It's obviously a huge audience." Asked whether the club might seek out the backing of a cricketer or Bollywood star, Gorringe continued: "Potentially, yeah. The reality is for us and the way we're set up nothing's off the table. "It's a case of assessing opportunities and looking for new ways for us to grow." Both of Swansea's current celebrity investors have already had a fairly big impact on the club. Modric has already lent a hand on the player recruitment side of things, with Zeidane Inoussa admitting he spoke to the Croatian before signing with the Swans, and he clearly wasn't the only one. The commercial opportunities of bringing Snoop Dogg on board have also been evident, with the rapper helping to launch the club's home kit for the current season, while his Death Row Records label has recently launched a new clothing line in collaboration with the club. But the rapper, along with his son Cordell, who has already paid the Swans a visit, has also had a part to play in player recruitment. "Snoop's been involved as well," Gorringe added. "He's sent some messages to players on Instagram and his son's been involved. He spoke to Adam Idah as part of that process. "So they are heavily involved. "They're invested in the club, not just financially, but emotionally, and they want to play a part. "That is another benefit of the set-up we've got currently. "So ultimately the better squad we can recruit, and a huge amount of work goes into that process. "There's a large amount of data analysis. "Adam [Worth] has done a brilliant job in attracting or identifying the right players, and then our job is to sell them the project." *Follow all of our social channels to ensure you stay up to date with the latest Swans news.
