Shares of Suzlon Energy climbed 4.5% to touch their intraday high of Rs 58.77 on the BSE on Wednesday, after the company announced the appointment of Rahul Jain as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).The appointment of the new CFO will be effective from December 15, 2025.The company’s Board of Directors approved the appointment during its meeting held on October 29. Rahul Jain will also serve as one of the key managerial personnel of the company, strengthening its leadership team as it charts the next phase of growth.Jain brings over two decades of experience in corporate finance and has spent nearly 17 years at SRF Limited, where he most recently served as Group CFO.During his tenure, he spearheaded SRF’s financial transformation by streamlining systems, leveraging technology, and reinforcing financial discipline. His leadership supported both organic and inorganic growth at SRF, including unlocking capital allocation strategies and identifying new business avenues.Live EventsBefore SRF, Jain worked for a decade with Jubilant Organosys Ltd, contributing to the company’s growth initiatives. A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Jain is well regarded in the industry for his strategic financial acumen and operational leadership.The company said in a statement that his appointment is aimed at further strengthening Suzlon’s financial and management capabilities as it accelerates its ambitions in the renewable energy space. The market reacted positively to the leadership move, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s renewed strategic focus.“Since 1995, Suzlon has been India’s most trusted wind energy company which continues to play a big role in India’s energy transition story.
