Also, Deadline recently popped exclusive news that Chenoweth may star in an NBC series of her own. Deadline said the still-untitled series will center on a Chenoweth character “who is required to complete community service as the director of a local church choir where she’ll be dragged kicking, screaming and singing toward redemption.”
“Stumble” is described as a mockumentary about the ridiculously high stakes competitive world of junior college cheerleading. The series will star Jenn Lyon, Taran Killam, Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar and Georgie Murphy.
Deadline indicated the pitch for the untitled series was sold before Chenoweth was cast in the “Stumble” pilot. Deadline reported that Chenoweth will play a cheer coach in “Stumble.”
