Strictly star bursts into tears as she shares she has 'quite difficult' condition

Actress Alex Kingston was overcome with emotion as she revealed she has a condition which has caused her great difficulty on Strictly Come Dancing . The Doctor Who and ER star danced a paso doble with partner Johannes Radebe on the hit BBC show on Saturday night. But she was brought to tears in the studio as she revealed she had struggled with the dance because she is numerically dyslexic. The British Dyslexia Association says the 'life-long condition' and specific learning difficulty can have a 'significant impact during education, in the workplace and in everyday life'. "I just care about him and I want to do the best for him." After the performance, head judge Shirley Ballas noted that she had stumbled on a 'few steps', adding: "It lacked a little bit of passion and fire." Anton Du Beke told her: "You looked a little nervous...the hands at the beginning...You need not to be nervous because you are fab-u-lous." And Craig Revel Horwood brutally said the dance 'lacked any form of showbiz pizzazz'. He added: "You played it with great nobility but I felt you could have gone a lot further emotionally with it. It ended up a little bit middle of the road I'm afraid." Before receiving a score of 30, Alex fought back tears as she confessed to host Claudia Winkleman: "The thing is I'm numercially dyslexix, so I can't count. And that's quite difficult." Seeing her visible distress, Claudia demanded 'everyone in' and the whole cast rushed in to support her in a group hug. Alex added: "I should love this dance because it's drama. It's just I'm used to dancing to lyrics and I didn't know that I can't do that." She fanned her tears with her hand, adding: "But it's fine, it's fine."
