Strictly Ross King's girlfriend seen for first time as she flies 5000 miles to support

It was the first Strictly Come Dancing live show tonight, with Lorraine star Ross King taking to the dancefloor to dance the Cha Cha to with his partner Jowita PrzystaÅ‚. The Entertainment Correspondent, who usually gives us the latest goss from Hollywood on ITV’s Lorraine has flown back to the UK to take part in the BBC show, with his girlfriend flying with him. As Ross and Jowita waited for their scores, Ross revealed he wasn’t alone, as his girlfriend flew 5000 miles to be with him. “It’s so lovely that my girlfriend flew all the way, 5000 miles. I said, ‘come tonight Bridget,’ because there might not be too many of these,'” as she was seen laughing in the audience. His sister Elaine was also there cheering him on. Despite the cheers from his girlfriend and sister, the judges weren’t as convinced, giving the pair the lowest score of the night, with Craig describing it as “very awkward”. Unfortunately, he only scored 10 from the judges, with Craig and Shirley giving him a disappointing 2. Ross’ relationship with girlfriend Bridget comes after his divorce from second wife Brianna Deutsch. The couple tied the knot in 2015, and quietly separated seven years later. His first wife was Charley King who he was married to from 1999 until 2006. Ross’ low scores come after an already dramatic series for Strictly Come Dancing with two celebrities having to withdraw due to injury. Just days after the line-up was announced, Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn pulled out of the show saying he’s been struggling with “a high level of stress and a little bit of grief”. He explained on Instagram that his problems had “manifested physically” for the first time and had caused “a spike in my vitals as an area of concern”. Shortly after, it was revealed that Emmerdale star Lewis Cope would be taking his place. “I’m so excited to be swapping the Dales for the dance floor and joining this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. I’ve always been a fan of the show and cannot wait to get started!” he said in a statement. However, the casting problems didn’t stop there, as this week Love Island winner Dani Dyer revealed she had been forced to pull out due to a fractured ankle. Fans were left on the edge of their seats waiting to see if Dani would be replaced, or if her partner Nikita Kumzin would be benched for the series. However, on Friday morning, it was announced that West End and former Love Island winner Amber Davies would be taking her place – dancing the Waltz with Nikita tonight. Speaking out after the last minute reveal, Amber said: “This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life. I’ve watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true. I’m going to give it my all and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud.” Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
