Vicky Pattison has admitted it’s ‘not all glam’ behind the scenes of Strictly Come Dancing as she shared a candid reality following a double health blow. The reality star and TV presenter is amongst the contestants taking part in this year’s series of the BBC One dance contest, and has been partnered with professional dancer Kai Widdrington. The former Geordie Shore star has impressed the judges so far with her two live performances, with the second leading to head judge Shirley Ballas predicting they could go ‘all the way’ in the competition. Earlier this week, Vicky ‘cleared up’ a ‘miscommunication’ about her future on Strictly after being hit by a health blow. The pair were supposed to appear on the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two on Monday (October 6) but Vicky announced on Instagram hours before that she and Kai would not be appearing. Sharing a selfie of the pair, Vicky explained: “There seems to have a bit of a miscommunication! @kaiwidd was poorly earlier on in the week and I wasn’t 110% so we had to pull out of our weekly appearance on It Takes Two… that’s it.” “I have not dropped out of Strictly… I’m having a lovely time and really grateful for this experience! Plus, Kai is feeling better now so we’re back in the rehearsal room AND back on It Takes Two tonight… just thought I’d clear that up.” After recovering from their illnesses, the pair appeared on It Takes Two on Thursday (October 10). Following their appearance, Vicky took to Instagram to share a candid post with her 5.5 million followers where she shared a before and after of her ‘glam’ look. She revealed that she wanted to show her fans that ‘she doesn’t look too glam all the time’. “Can we just take a moment for my glam team, stylist and the strictly angels who helped turn me from this feral little rat who looks like they live under a bridge and demands riddles to cross into THIS???!!.,” she wrote. “Lads it’s been a WEEK… strictly rehearsals, mystery bug, VT’s, Erc away, my clothing collection launch… and I just don’t want anyone thinking I look too glam to give a damn all the time. “I just thought it was important to show you all both sides of the coin… she LOVES to be a glam girly don’t get me wrong but there’s a hell of a lot of the time I look more like an exhausted little troll. “And that’s ok… second picture captured by @kaiwidd who is now 110% getting chinned.”
