Strictly Come Dancing fans 'so sad' for Amy Dowden as star 'to miss out on Glitterball trophy'

Strictly Come Dancing fans are “feeling sad” for Amy Dowden after the celebrity pairings for the 2025 series were reportedly leaked online. On Saturday night, viewers will see the celebrities paired with their professional dancers in a pre-recorded show, which was filmed last week. While Wales Online is choosing not to reveal the celebrity pairings, fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the partnerships, and some were feeling less than impressed. Some have also predicted who could lift the Glitterball Trophy this year and it looks like Amy could miss out. After a mole reportedly leaked the pairings online, one fan fumed, “Is this show Strictly Come Dancing or Strictly Vito? Isn’t 3 finals and a trophy enough? What is with the producers giving Vito the favourites every year? Give the other pros a chance to go to the finals!!” Someone else commented, “It’s ridiculous XXXX has been sidelined again, yet Vito has got one of the bookies’ favourites after 3 finals and 1 trophy. Where’s the fairness?” A third added, “Poor Amy has been thrown under a bus. XXXX dancing with another XXXXX, omen or not? I got one right. Karen is finally getting a decent partner for a change.” Another agreed by saying, “Poor Amy.” “Another win for Vito then,” one fan predicted while another raged, “Justice for XXXX, no partner again.” However, not everyone was left upset by the partnerships as one fan beamed, “Some great pairings.” The celebrities taking part in the 2025 series include Harry Aikines-Aryeetey aka Nitro, Dani Dyer, Alex Kingston, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Balvinder Sopal, and George Clarke. La Voix, Chris Robshaw, Ellie Goldstein, Thomas Skinner, Vicky Pattison, Stefan Dennis, Ross King. Karen Carney and Lewis Cope will also be competing for the Glitterball Trophy. The professional dancers returning to the show are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Å korjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Vito Coppola. They will also be joined by two newcomers, Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon. Strictly Come Dancing begins on Saturday on BBC One.
