Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts have applauded one of the programme's judges for their support of Ellie Goldstein , declaring "how can anyone not" champion her in the contest. The model and actress was spotted dazzling in the ballroom once more on Saturday evening (October 25), having secured her place in week five with professional dance partner Vito Coppola . It marked the second-ever Icons Week on the popular BBC One dancing programme, with Ellie embodying Baby Spice - otherwise known as Emma Bunton - for her and Vito's salsa to a Spice Girls ' medley. Following their routine, which earned them a solid 28 points, Claudia Winkleman announced she had a particular surprise in store for Ellie. "Ellie, we know you love the Spice Girls," the co-presenter started. "We know you love Baby Spice. Somebody really, really wants to send you a message," she continued, as Ellie appeared visibly amazed and told Vito: "I can't believe that!", reports the Manchester Evening News . In a recorded message, vocalist and radio presenter Emma declared: "I have been watching you every week – and you're my favourite. And then I heard that I'm your favourite Spice Girl! "I'm honoured, and I just want to tell you – I think you are a superstar. Thank you so much for dancing to our songs, the other girls are sending all their love and good luck with the scores!" However, it was Craig's remarks that sparked discussion amongst viewers. "I love the energy," he stated, before noting that he believes Ellie requires more hip rotation, which prompted a chorus of disapproving boos from the studio audience. He continued by saying he also wished to see smoother transitions from Ellie, though he praised the remarkable personality she demonstrates on the dance floor. In a rare occurrence, Strictly viewers commended Craig for his constructive feedback aimed at helping Ellie develop, whilst others persisted in celebrating her delightful partnership with Vito. @RyanSoapKing25 said: "Fully respect Craig for subtly critiquing Ellie in the correct way without coming off as patronising.
