The professional dancer, 36, recently made history by becoming the first person to perform on Strictly while being pregnant. Last month, Dianne was also forced to respond to claims that her partner Stefan Dennis’ exit from the BBC One competition show was ‘planned’. The Neighbours star was forced to withdraw due to a tear in his calf muscle before Dianne hit back at fans who claimed the move was a coordinated one given she is pregnant with her first child with partner Joe Sugg. Now, however, the 36-year-old has touched on a heartwarming moment she shared with Chris McCausland, who she won the competition with last year. Discussing when she and Chris, who was the first ever blind participant, danced to You’ll Never Walk Alone, she said on BBC Two’s Strictly: It Takes Two: ‘The Waltz is one dance that will always have a special place in my heart. Ah, it was so powerful. ‘It gives me goosebumps. And then it was the moment when I left him to walk alone, and I pulled back from him but I watched him the whole time. ‘And, the vulnerability on his face. He went from vulnerable to I feel safe again. It was so beautiful, so emotive.’ Explaining how they felt after their dance, she added: ‘I think we just cuddled each other and cried in each other’s arms. ‘I loved every single second of it and I’ve never felt more proud of my finished dancers as when I was with Chris.’ Alongside dancing his way to the Glitterball trophy with Diane, the pair also scored a Bafta TV award for most memorable moment along the way. In a video posted on their YouTube channel, Joe said: ‘The name that we’ve come up with, we’re not going to share it. We can’t really give any clues to it other than I don’t really see this name really anywhere. ‘I know some people who have it as their surname but it’s also the sort of name that can be shortened. I’d say it’s quite a unique name.’ Before he could continue, Dianne added: ‘It’s kind of like Joe, isn’t it? Cute when you’re little, you can call yourself Joseph when you’re older.’ Joe continued: ‘Or it could be a good sportsperson name. I’ve purposefully not said it out lout at all whereas Dianne keeps calling him by that name. ‘I do feel like between now and our due date, which is another thing I don’t think we’re going to share, I worry that we might end up revealing it by accident. From now on, he’s called Derek.’ Got a story?
