George Clarke is one of this year’s celebrity contestants on Strictly Come Dancing. He is known as a podcaster and has garnered a large following online thanks to his content on social media. However, he isn’t the only famous name in his household as his dad runs one of the most famous animation studios behind legendary TV and film characters. George's dad Sean is the managing director of Aardman Animations. The animation studio is behind iconic characters like Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, as well as hilarious films like Chicken Run and Flushed Away. His work portfolio includes co-executive producer credits on Early Man, both Shaun the Sheep movies, and the musical short Robin Robin. Previously to working for Aardman Animations, he worked as Disney's UK Licensing Director. Here's everything you need to know about George's career and family life away from the Strictly ballroom. George Clarke is a 25 year old TikToker and YouTuber from Bristol. He currently boasts 2.3 million TikTok followers, with an additional 684K on Instagram and 614K YouTube subscribers. He began creating content as a teenager and rose to online fame, and also has a podcast with fellow content creator Max Balegde called the Useless Hotline. He often rubs shoulders with celebrities, even sharing a home with fellow social media star Chris MD (whose real name is Christopher Michael Dixon) and singer Arthur Hill. Relationship The YouTuber recently shared that he is dating model Yasmin Bennett. "I've been seeing someone for a little while, it's been official for about a month and a half," he revealed to fans during a livestream. The influencer shared his worries about having a relationship in the public eye: "I've always said I don't want it to be, if I did have a relationship, I wouldn't want it to be a public thing. "But I feel like it's just a nicer feeling to have it be known and be private. As opposed to it being a complete secret." Family life George's family tends to stay out of the spotlight, despite Sean's work with Aardman Animations. George has an older sister named Emily, who has appeared on his social media. He has spoken about his mum's health battles in the past, after she suddenly collapsed and was taken to hospital. Doctors diagnosed his mum with encephalitis - a serious brain inflammation that George had never heard of before. He revealed she was given just a 20 per cent chance of survival. "She lost long-term memories, her sense of taste and smell, and her sense of direction," he said on social media. "Despite it all, she apologised to us for what she put us through! I'm incredibly lucky to still hear her laugh."
