EAGLES – RAMS Matchup Preview
The Eagles (2-0) are coming off a gutsy rematch against the Chiefs after a close call with the Dallas Cowboys. Despite the slim margins, Philadelphia remains one of the toughest outs with a stout defense and an offense that features plenty of firepower.
Star quarterback Jalen Hurts has thrown for 253 yards, but has done most of his damage with his legs, tallying 23 carries for 77 yards and three touchdowns. In the first two games, Hurts has completed only two passes that went more than 10 yards.
Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley totaled 460 rushing yards and 8.9 yards per carry in two matchups against the Rams last season.
Philadelphia star receivers AJ Brown and Devonta Smith have been unusually quiet in the first two weeks. Brown has six receptions for 35 yards and Smith has seven receptions for 69 yards.
The birds are wreaking havoc once again with their patented Tush Push. Twelve percent of Philadelphia’s successful plays have been via the nearly unstoppable formation.
The Eagles have won three straight games against the Rams and nine of the previous ten encounters.

The Rams (2-0) have notched victories over the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans in the first two weeks.
Quarterback Matt Stafford has notched 543 and three touchdowns with one interception. His 67.4 QBR is ranked 11th in the league.
Star DaVante Adams has returned to form in Los Angeles. He has 10 receptions for 157 yards and one touchdown, averaging 15.7 yards per reception.
Running back Kyren Williams remains an X-factor. He has 35 carries for 132 yards and one touchdown after two games.
Los Angeles’ defense will be tested, allowing 4.2 yards per carry heading into today’s game. The unit ranks third in yards allowed and second in yards per attempt.
The Rams proved they can hang with anyone, as they were minutes away from eliminating the Eagles on their own home snow-filled home turf in last year’s NFC wildcard.
