Stormont was lit up in a sea of colour as thousands of families took part in Autism NI's eighth annual Glow Walk. The event, which saw the estate illuminated by neon lights, is a s ignature fundraising event for the charity with this year being the largest yet with it recording its biggest attendance to date. Autism NI CEO, Kerry Boyd, expressed her gratitude and pride in the event’s continued success: “It was truly heartwarming to see so many families come together for our seventh Glow Walk . The enthusiasm was incredible, everyone embraced the glow theme with vibrant neon outfits and glow sticks, creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere. "It’s a testament to the strength and spirit of our community. This event not only shines a bright light on autism awareness but also raises essential funds and it reminds us of the importance of understanding, acceptance, and support for autistic individuals. She added, “Fundraising events like the Glow Walk are vital to the work Autism NI does. Every pound raised helps us provide life-changing services, including our Helpline, which supports over 7,000 individuals across Northern Ireland each year. We are so grateful to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this event such a glowing success.” Entertainment on the night was led by the U105 crew and radio presenter Denise Watson, and a dance warm-up led by the ever-popular Fitness Freddy, and Junior Eurovision Finalist Isla taking to the stage. Families also enjoyed meet-and-greets with superhero characters before setting off on the magical ‘glow in the dark’ walk.
