Sensex Today: Indian stock markets opened on a positive note on Monday, tracking firm global cues. The BSE Sensex rose 242 points (0.29%) to 83,458, while the Nifty50 advanced 65 points (0.25%) to 25,557. In the broader market, the Nifty MidCap index gained 0.26%, and the Nifty SmallCap index climbed 0.38%. All sectoral indices were trading in the green, led by strong gains in the Metal and PSU Bank indices.
