Stipe Miocic reveals new career plans after UFC retirement

Former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic seems to have some big plans in the works after his retirement from the UFC last year.
Bowing out of combat sports in November, former two-time heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic called time on his career after his knockout loss to Jon Jones.
And backed to soon receive induction in the promotion’s Hall of Fame, Ohio favorite Miocic is regarded as the greatest heavyweight fighter to set foot in the Octagon.
However, with his time in combat sports over, the veteran fan-favorite has provided a new update on his future plans with his UFC career now in the rearview mirror.
Stipe Miocic reveals plans to ‘try something new’
Ending his gold laden 14-year stint in mixed martial arts after his title fight loss to Jones nearly a year ago in New York, Miocic confirmed his retirement in the immediate aftermath of his defeat.
And long known for his service as a volunteer firefighter during his time out of training camp, Miocic has teased his next career move.
On social media this evening, Miocic revealed a new series which will drop on his YouTube channel, showing him trying out as a goalkeeper, as well as a tennis player, photographer and chef.
Stipe Miocic reveals he almost avoided knockout loss to Jon Jones
Suffering his fourth career stoppage loss in his defeat to former two-weight champion Jones in his fighting swan song, Miocic made a bold claim, having spent three rounds in the Octagon with the former.
Describing the former pound-for-pound number one as “beatable”, Miocic claimed there are some notable weaknesses in the game of Jones.
Furthermore, caught with a rare knockout against Jones, Miocic revealed he was just a mere “inch” away from avoiding that technique in question.
