Steve Tandy has challenged his Wale squad to think about how they can 'become the nation we want to be' ahead of the upcoming autumn campaign. Wales get the Tandy era under way by facing Argentina at the Principality Stadium on November 9, with the Welshman hoping to steer Welsh rugby towards calmer waters after a turbulent couple of years. Tandy will name his team to face the Pumas later this week, but has already brought the wider squad together ahead of the upcoming schedule, bringing six uncapped players into the camp, along with the recalled Rhys Carre. In a video posted on social media, Tandy can be seen addressing his players together for the first time, outlining the 'journey' that lies ahead for his charges. "Firstly, good morning," he begins. "It's been awesome to get everyone in the same room. This is the first day and for me it's a massive privilege and an honour to have the ability to come and speak to you as a national head coach. "So, really privileged to do that with such an exciting group and an amazing group of staff. "For me, just thank you and I'm looking forward to being here now an the journey we're going to go on together." Tandy made a point of welcoming the five uncapped players, including Dragons hooker Brodie Coghlan, who happened to be in the middle some very important business when he receive the call. "I loved some of the phone calls as well," he continued. "Brodie had his headset on. Who were you gaming with brodie?" "I was playing Fifa," he replies. "Playing Fifa with the headset, so that was awesome," Tandy adds. Wales enter this new era having slumped to 12th place in the world rankings , but the new Wales boss believes there is plenty of growth ahead for his team. "I believe having spoken to you this is going to be leading from campaign to campaign. We're going to grow. "How are we going to become the nation we want to be? "Are we clear there? Thanks very much for listening to me this morning. "Let's get going." --- * Follow all of our channels to ensure you stay up to date with the latest Welsh rugby news.
