Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Stephanie McMahon working as part of the production crew. He worked closely with the Billion Dollar Princess during his stint in the company.Russo was the head writer for WWE during the Attitude Era. AT the time, Stephanie McMahon was also heavily involved with the product as an on-screen talent and a producer backstage.During this week's episode of Writing with Russo, the veteran writer noted that scripted promos became a thing after Stephanie joined the production team."I really think that came from when Stephanie was put in charge, and Stephanie was not creative. I think that's really where it came from. So the writers were writing this, and she can't interject."Russo recalled that Bruce Prichard was the best production agent in the history of pro wrestling. He pointed out that whenever Bruce was talking about a promo, he would mimic the character to get his point across. However, the ex-WWE writer noted that Stephanie McMahon did not have that talent. So, all she did was share the script from the writers to the stars and told them to go out there and cut a promo."Bruce Prichard was the best producer in the history of the wrestling business.
