Staten Island HS girls’ soccer: Tottenville captures city title with thrilling 2-1 victory on penalty kicks

QUEENS, N.Y. -- Eighty-plus minutes of regulation play and two, 10-minute overtime periods was not enough to produce a champion as top-seeded Bronx Science and No. 2 Tottenville went toe-to-toe in an emotionally draining PSAL 3A city championship test Saturday on Randall’s Island. The undefeated participants would need penalty kicks to decide the 2025 champion and when Pirate freshman keeper Nadra Mock turned away Zoe Rosenberg’s boot with a diving save to her left the Huguenot school emerged with a 2-1 shootout triumph to bring the title back home for the first time since 2006 and the 11th time in school history.
