Hitting the red carpet for the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala this week alongside dad Michael Douglas, the 22-year-old raided her stylish mother’s closet, reaching for a piece almost as old as herself. Choosing a black lace slip dress that featured embellished detailing and a midi length, Douglas looked exactly like Zeta-Jones’ mini-me in the dress she originally wore to the 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Douglas was born two years earlier on April 20, 2003. While Zeta-Jones opted to style the look with embellished heeled sandals, a diamond drop necklace, and diamond hoops, her daughter chose classic black pumps and colourful statement earrings. This isn’t the first time Douglas has raided her stylish mum's closet for a head-turning look. She celebrated her 21st birthday in an embellished pink Ungaro dress worn by her mother to the MTV Movie Awards in 1999. The recent Brown graduate shared her love of vintage clothing with People Magazine, stating, “I feel I love vintage clothes. I don’t really like to buy. I’m not really into fast fashion stuff, just for sustainability reasons,” adding, “I feel very lucky that I have a wonderful closet that I can pick from.” Douglas sometimes goes overboard with the borrowing, admitting she sometimes swipes “a little too much,” laughing, “She’s like, ‘Is that my bag?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know. I don’t think so …” If we had a closet like her mother’s, though, we would probably shop it just as often.
