SSC Detects Remote Hacking in CGL 2025 Exam, Warns of Strict Action

The Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) is underway, and the Commission has issued a warning after detecting remote hacking attempts. The exam began on September 12 and will be conducted across various centres in India till September 26. To ensure fairness, the Commission has deployed advanced digital security features that monitor every candidate’s computer terminal in real time. This has been especially designed to identify any suspicious activity without disturbing other genuine candidates. SSC officials said malpractices may not be stopped immediately, and invigilators have been avoiding disturbing other candidates. Electronic evidence will be checked later, and strict action will be taken against those found guilty. Official notice reads, “…during the course of any exam whenever any such malpractice is detected by technological solutions, it is possible that the candidate’s exam may not be interrupted by the invigilators, in order to ensure that such activities do not disturb the other sincere candidates taking the exams honestly. But, subsequently in respect of candidates indulging in such malpractices, based on electronic evidence, their scores will not be processed and action will be taken to debar them through laid down process.” All candidates involved will be identified through their digital footprints. Their scores will not be processed, and they will face debarment under the Commission’s laid-down procedures. Furthermore, SSC has also announced that necessary criminal proceedings may also be initiated if exam centre is found complicit; action will be taken. “The SSC is fully committed to conducting free and fair examinations. Any candidate found indulging in unfair means will face strict consequences,” an advisory said. For more details, one can go to the official website.
