The South Rupununi Conservation Society (SRCS) recently participated in the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Awareness Conference held in Lethem, Region Nine (Upper Takutu/Upper Essequibo). According to the SRCS, the conference offered deeper insights into key PSEA principles and responsibilities, emphasising prevention, reporting, and response, all essential to strengthening protection mechanisms and promoting safe, accountable environments for all. “As SRCS continues to evolve beyond our roots in species conservation and research, our work over the past 25 years has expanded to include environmental education, cultural heritage, and community development and livelihoods programmes.
