Sports Radio Host Doesn't Think Player With Josh Allen's Skill Set Should Exist

The Buffalo Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night, improving their record to 3-0 for the season. Bills quarterback Josh Allen had another impressive performance, passing for 213 yards, three touchdowns and adding 25 rushing yards.
Allen is the best quarterback in the NFL. Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd believes that someone with Allen’s talent shouldn’t exist.
“2025 Josh Allen shouldn’t exist, Cowherd said Friday. “You should not be that gifted, that fast, that talented, jump over linebackers. Yet he never throws interceptions.”
Whenever a play breaks down, Allen can pick up 25 rushing yards to keep the drive alive, or he can run around in the pocket and throw it 50 yards down the field.
Josh Allen Could be The Most Talented QB in NFL History
Allen has been incredible the last few seasons, and last year he brought home his first-ever MVP. The scary part through the first three games this season is that Allen looks ten times better than he did last year.
Allen might be the most talented quarterback in NFL history; the way he does everything so well is impressive. There have been many great quarterbacks in past years, but most of them didn’t have an all-around game like Allen.
Tom Brady, a soon-to-be NFL Hall of Fame quarterback, holds the record for the most Super Bowl titles by any quarterback, with a total of seven. He excelled in many areas, particularly with his ability to break down a defense from the pocket. However, Allen possesses more skills when it comes to rushing and throwing the ball than Brady ever did.
Allen will need to win Super Bowls to match Brady’s level of greatness, but in terms of raw talent, Allen has the advantage. For years, many considered Aaron Rodgers the most talented quarterback in the NFL, despite having only one Super Bowl win. We are seeing a similar situation with Allen today.
Allen Has Got to Beat Patrick Mahomes
Allen has struggled to reach the Super Bowl, while Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, has made it to the game five times, winning three of those appearances. Unfortunately for Allen, he has lost to Mahomes four out of the last five postseason matchups.
To be regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in history, Allen will eventually need to overcome Mahomes in the playoffs and make it to the Super Bowl. If he fails to reach the Super Bowl, he might find himself likened to former Dolphins legend Dan Marino—often seen as the most talented quarterback to have never won a Super Bowl.
The good news for Allen is that he is only 29 years old and should have another five seasons of his prime left, provided he stays healthy. The Bills are currently in a strong position as the best team in the AFC, having defeated the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.
With the Bills’ victory over the Ravens, Buffalo is in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. All they need to do now is beat Kansas City in November to ensure that the AFC runs through Buffalo.
