The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has officially launched Daily Milk, the latest flavoured drink from Niche Confectionery Ghana Ltd., a subsidiary of Niche Cocoa Industry Ltd. — a wholly Ghanaian-owned company based in Tema. The nutritious, Ghana-made beverage — targeted at children and young adults — comes in three flavours: strawberry, banana and vanilla. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Adams described the introduction of the Niche Flavoured Milk as timely, noting that it coincides with the country’s growing focus on health, nutrition and the well-being of young people. According to him, the company, in partnership with Tetra Pak, is not merely introducing another drink to the market but a product designed to meet the evolving needs of modern consumers. “The product quality is truly high, and I recommend it for everyone, especially young people. It supports growth, muscle development and energy,” Mr. Adams said. “As someone who is health-conscious about what I consume, I have tested this product and can confidently recommend it. It meets every standard and is ideal for milk lovers seeking a nutritious option.” Founder and Managing Director of Niche Confectionery Ghana Ltd, Edmund Poku, stated that the company’s state-of-the-art production facility operates with minimal human intervention. Equipped with a high-speed packaging line, it produces approximately 24,000 packs per hour. He explained that the ready-to-drink dairy product combines local expertise with modern technology to deliver a wholesome, high-quality beverage that meets international standards. Mr. Poku added that the company’s mission is to provide safe, delicious and health-boosting products while empowering communities through nutritional education and school support programmes. Distributors who sampled the product also praised its quality. Evelyn Osei, owner of Evelus Enterprise in Kumasi, described Daily Milk as “the best locally made product on the market,” highlighting its great taste, low sugar content and superior quality. She urged Ghanaians to support local brands to enhance productivity and competitiveness. Marketing Manager of Niche Confectionery, Winnifred Evenyo Dzekoto, said Daily Milk is a healthy, affordable alternative and an excellent source of calcium and protein. She noted that the product is now widely available on the market.
