The Ministry for Sports and Recreation has commended the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for their professionalism and cooperation in the budget approval process for the Black Stars’ upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Minister Kofi Adams expressed his appreciation for the GFA’s maturity and commitment to good governance, stating, “I want to take this opportunity to sincerely appreciate the GFA for their cooperation and the maturity shown throughout this process.”
The GFA submitted the budget estimates on September 18, covering the following key expenses for the upcoming fixtures:
Budget for the Home match against Comoros on October 12 and away game against Central African Republic is $1.12 million, including travel, accommodation, training, per diems, match bonuses, and other logistical requirements
Ghana needs four points from the two matches to advance in the qualifiers, making timely budget approval crucial for proper preparations.
Minister Adams’ praise highlights the GFA’s dedication to accountability and good governance, which is essential for the team’s success.
