Williston Northampton runner Brody Richardson won the NEPSTA Division 2 Cross Country Championship varsity boys race with a winning time of 16 minutes, 17 seconds on Saturday. Held at Williston’s home 5K course, Richardson helped the Wildcats earn fourth place as a team with 147 points. Roxbury Latin won the boys competition with 49 points. Addie Eakins led the Williston varsity girls team, placing 35th overall in 23:02. The Wildcats earned 13th place on the girls side with 309 points. Wildcats’ fall sports update The Williston football team qualified for the Drew Gamere Bowl, which will be played this upcoming Saturday, Nov. 15. The Wildcats will travel to Avon Old Farms, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. Williston have won five straight. The Wildcats’ field hockey team attained the No. 2 seed in the Class B bracket of the NEPSAC Field Hockey Championship and will host No. 7 Dexter Southfield on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Williston’s boys soccer team also earned the right to host a home playoff game as the third-seed in the Class B NEPSAC Boys Soccer Championship. The Wildcats will take on sixth-seeded Middlesex on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Williston’s girls soccer team will be on the road in the first round of the Class B Girls Soccer Championship as the fifth-seed. The Wildcats will battle fourth-seeded Pingree on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.
