AgenciesSpiceJet adds Boeing 737, ungrounds 737 MAX for winter expansion Budget airline SpiceJet bolstered its fleet ahead of the busy winter travel season by adding another Boeing 737 and returning a Boeing 737 MAX to service, taking the total number of aircraft inducted this month to five.The carrier said both planes have begun commercial operations, following the induction of two Boeing 737s and one wide-body Airbus A340 earlier in October. The additions are part of SpiceJet’s aggressive winter expansion plan, which will see 20 new aircraft join its fleet between October and November.“This marks another strong step in SpiceJet’s growth story,” said Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer at SpiceJet. “With the latest inductions and the return of another 737 MAX, we are focused on meeting the surge in travel demand, expanding connectivity, and enhancing convenience.
