Spencertown, N.Y.: Author and playwright in conversation on Nov. 2

Spencertown Academy Arts Center's Conversations with Neighbors presents “From Mirette to Einstein," a conversation with children’s book author/illustrator Emily Arnold McCully and playwright Elizabeth Diggs, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2. The longtime Spencertown residents will discuss McCully’s 60-year career, including her Caldecott Medal-winning “Mirette on the High Wire" and her mission to tell stories about brave girls and extraordinary but overlooked women in science, the arts, politics, sports, and more. While admission is free, advance reservations are requested via spencertownacademy.org.
