Southwick Regional School to receive national recognition from Special Olympics for its inclusion program
SOUTHWICK — Special Olympics Massachusetts has announced that Southwick Regional School, a school with Special Olympics Unified Champion School programming, is receiving national banner recognition for its efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for students with and without intellectual disabilities.
“It is such an honour for our school to be a recipient of this award. It has been so rewarding to see the positive difference Unified sports, clubs and schoolwide initiatives have made in working with students with and without disabilities,” said Judi Bean, a coach and special education teacher at the school.
