Sony reveals epic large-format photo book and Reebok collab for PlayStation’s 30th anniversary (Pre-orders now live)
After the 30th anniversary PlayStation 5 hardware releases, and the 15th anniversary of PlayStation Plus, September 2025 marks the actual 30th anniversary of PlayStation in North America and Europe, and Sony isn’t finished the celebration yet. Today it took to the official PlayStation Blog to reveal some all-new collectibles and the PlayStation x Reebok collection. Scope it all out below.
PlayStation: The First 30 Years, – ‘A visual journey through gaming history’
First up we are taking a look at the new large-format photography book known as PlayStation: The First 30 Years. This looks to be a pretty epic new official collectible (if you’re into that kind of thing anyway) in the from of a large coffee table-style book loaded with “never-before-seen prototypes, concept sketches, and design models that shaped hardware development at Sony Interactive Entertainment.”
Including “daring early designs to the iconic consoles and controllers that defined gaming culture for millions,” the PlayStation: The First 30 Years book “is a 400 page visual journey through PlayStation history that gives fans a rare glimpse into the brand’s evolution through the generations.”
It is set for release in Spring 2026 and you can pre-order one directly from PlayStation starting today.
PlayStation x Reebok 30th Anniversary Sneakers
Next up we have the PlayStation x Reebok 30th Anniversary Sneakers. These PlayStation sneaker collabs have gone wild in the past, especially among collectors, and with the clear inspiration from the design of PS1 here, we could be in for another nostalgia-fueled frenzy for collectors and resellers alike.
As part of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, we’re also collaborating with Reebok on sneaker designs that pay homage to the original PlayStation console. The PlayStation x Reebok collection features three sneakers, each connected to one of PlayStation’s original launch regions: the InstaPump Fury 94 for Japan, Pump Omni Zone II for the U.S. and the Workout Plus, for the United Kingdom.
The new PlayStation Reebok sneakers will launch next month with all pairs coming in “unique, limited-edition packaging that mirrors the console’s original launch design, featuring a shared anniversary gray color palette and key nostalgic details.” No other information has been provided by Sony on where and exactly when you’ll be able to grab a pair.
