Sonakshi Sinha is gearing up for the release of her Telugu debut film ‘Jatadhara’, co-starring Sudheer Babu and Shilpa Shirodkar. This supernatural thriller marks her debut in Telugu cinema. Ahead of the film’s release, Sonakshi has been promoting it in full swing. In an interview with PTI, she recently opened up about her experience working in the Telugu industry, and said that she is very excited to explore regional cinema. Comparing the working culture of Hindi and Telugu cinema, she praised the southern industry for being ‘more disciplined’. She stated that the work-life balance is better, and that is something Bollywood can definitely learn from. Sonakshi Sinha On Her Telugu Debut With Jatadhara Speaking about her Telugu debut, Sonakshi told PTI, “It’s dark, it’s layered, and it’s very different from anything I’ve done before.” She further added that while she has done one Tamil film (Lingaa) before this, Jatadhara is her first Telugu movie. While she said that she has always been open to exploring regional films, her schedules didn’t allow it earlier. She then went on to praise the discipline of Telugu film industry. Sonakshi Sinha On Work-Life Balance In Telugu Film Industry When asked about the difference between the working culture of Hindi and Telugu cinema, she said, “There are not many differences, but their timings are very good, very sorted. Work-life balance is very good there, something we can definitely learn from.” She further added that if an actor comes to shoot at 9 AM, they will not be allowed to shoot after 6 PM. “If you come for a shoot at nine, you cannot shoot after six – you are not allowed. That’s something really nice about it. It’s a bit more disciplined, I would say,” added Sonakshi. Meanwhile, she pointed out that Hindi film shoots often go on late into the night, which she believes should change. About Jatadhara Apart from Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha, Jatadhara also features Shilpa Shirodkar, Divya Khosla, Indira Krishna, Ravi Prakash, Naveen Neni, Rohit Pathak, Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala, and Subhalekha Sudhakar in key roles. Jatadhara releases in Hindi and Telugu on 7th November 2025.
