Some Thanksgiving thoughts from Warren Buffett Nov. 10, 2025 3:47 PM ETBerkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK.B) Stock, BRK.A StockBy : Liz Kiesche, SA News Editor Comments (4) Consider it something of a farewell letter to Berkshire Hathaway's (BRK.A) (BRK.B) shareholders from Warren Buffett, its iconic leader, who took over a failing textile business 60 years ago and transformed it into an insurance and investing juggernaut. With his Quick Insights Buffett believes Berkshire has moderately better-than-average prospects led by a handful of strong businesses, but expects that in a decade or two, many companies may outperform Berkshire due to its large size. Buffett asserts that Berkshire Hathaway has less chance of a devastating disaster than any other company he knows, citing diversified non-correlated businesses and responsible management. Buffett argues that CEO pay disclosure has not reduced high compensation but fostered more competition and one-upmanship among CEOs, with little sign of actual restraint or significant cuts.
