Soaps line up mystery newcomer, double return drama and secrets and lies 'exposed'

There’s some major twists coming up on Emmerdale , EastEnders and Coronation Street , with spoilers for next week teasing new arrivals, returns and secrets. All three soaps have plenty to offer, with two new characters causing drama for existing residents on their relevant soaps. Then there’s huge returns for EastEnders and Corrie that will bring chaos. Robert Sugden features in a new mystery as newcomer Kev finally debuts on the ITV soap. Next week fans will find out the real link between the characters, and why Kev has come to see him. We can’t give away what’s gone on between them or what their past is but all will be revealed very soon. Over on Corrie, Theo Silverton is shocked to come face-to-face with someone he knows, named Owen. It seems Theo’s past will come back to haunt him as Owen’s determined to have it out with Theo. But things later take a turn when Theo manhandles Owen out onto the street and orders him to back off. So who is he? As for returns, we have Bethany Platt back on Corrie, and she’s soon in trouble with the law. Lucy Fallon reprises the role after some time away, having headed off on maternity leave earlier this year. It’s Kit green who discovers Bethany has returned as he’s led to an interview room where he finds girlfriend Sarah Platt’s daughter, who has been accused of car theft. So what has she done? Then there’s the long-awaited return of EastEnders legend Max Branning, who interrupts drama at The Vic just as his daughter Lauren Branning learns her partner Peter Beale is planning a secret wedding. This isn’t the only secret going on, as Asha Alahan on Corrie sparks concern with her pal Nina Lucas after her recent turmoil, after facing abuse and racism at work. The paramedic is hiding her turmoil still, suffering with her mental health and experiencing panic attacks. But it soon comes out Asha hasn’t returned to work since the ordeal. Also in Weatherfield, Debbie Webster makes a discovery that could see her finally expose Carl Webster and Abi Franklin’s affair. Emmerdale has plenty of secrets too, as Charity Dingle sparks suspicion over her behaviour amid her dilemma over surrogacy drama. Vinny Dingle and new wife Gabby Thomas are also still keeping their secrets from each other and others, while teen April Windsor is hiding her double life as a drug dealer. However, this becomes difficult when she leaves her little brother Leo in hospital. Our soap insider teased of the episodes ahead: “It’s a huge week for many characters and all three soaps. If it’s drama, teasers and twists fans are after, then next week is the one for them. “Bethany Platt heads back to Corrie with a bang, and the same can definitely be said for EastEnders’ Max Branning. Then there’s the secrets simmering, with many coming to light – from affairs, to mystery links to others, true identities and double lives. It’s a great week!” Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
