Snapchat, one of the most popular photo sharing app amongst youth, is facing a heavy downtime in India. Until now, around 6000 people have reported that they are not able to use the app share photos and video clips. Around 91 percent of the affected are having problem in login, 6 percent in uploading clips, and 3 percent in opening their feed. Until now the problem has not been addressed by Snapchat and the users in India have been left hanging in the middle without any update. The spike in mass outage skyrocketed on Down Detector and has reached a mark of close to 6000 as of now. As for those who are unaware, Down Detector is a website that shares credible data related to mass outage of different networks, applications, software, and more. What's The Core Issue Behind Snapchat Down In Several Countries? The problem has been triggered due to a disruption caused in Amazon Web Services (AWS) which provides internet for most of the apps. Furthermore, Amazon Web Service has already acknowledged the incident on its service health pages saying that the officials are investigating the route cause. And the issue is not even limited to Snapchat as a lot of users have also reported issues with Roblox, Canva, Wordle, Duolingo, and more. According to the stats available on Down Detector, around 3000 users have reported issues with Roblox - 62 percent server connection reports, 25 percent game play reports, and around 12 percent website reports. Coming to Canva, around 500 users complained about its outage on Down Detector, though the number has been on a decline now which means we can soon get to see the access to Canva working fine.
