Skyline (WA) head football coach Peyton Pelluer reinstated

The outcries in support of Skyline Spartans (WA) head football coach Peyton Pelluer have been heard and Issaquah School District has come to a decision to reinstate the former Washington State standout. Pelluer, who was temporarily suspended by the district just hours before the Spartans’ 49-14 victory over Woodinville last week, has been reinstated as the Skyline head football coach per VarsityWA’s Todd Milles. Per Eli Sports Network, what forced the district’s hand in suspending Pelluer in the first place was complaints to the Skyline administration regarding the head coach and his assistants were “not playing the correct players.” The temporary suspension had drew the ire of many throughout the Evergreen State, having many voice their opinion via social media, including former Washington State/NFL quarterback Luke Falk, who penned a public letter to Skyline principal Keith Henning on Monday afternoon regarding the situation with Pelluer. Falk and Pelluer, who is an alum of Skyline, played college football together at Washington State. Skyline is currently 5-2 on the Washington high school football season and are ranked as the No. 24 team in the state of Washington, per the Massey Ratings. The Spartans are slated to face Mount Si this Friday night.
