Sky Sports: Rangers Sack Russell Martin as Two Replacements Eyed

Following a dismal 123-day spell as Rangers manager, Sky Sports is reporting that Russell Martin is set to be sacked as manager of the Scottish side, with an official announcement expected on Monday.
Martin, who has recently been the head coach at Milton Keynes Dons, Swansea and Southampton, arrived at the Ibrox with plenty of potential behind him, as, despite some unsuccessful moments in England, he appeared to have a good head on his shoulders and the ability to cultivate a determined group of players who would give it there all.
However, following just over 100 days in his role at Rangers, and boasting a win percentage of just 29.41%, the worst record he holds out of his previous managerial roles, Martin is expected to be sacked, with an announcement coming on Monday.
With lots of the season yet to be played, Rangers will need to act swiftly in getting in another manager in hopes of turning their season around. A sacking that has been weeks in the making, it appears those who call the shots have kept their eyes peeled for potential managers, as, according to GiveMeSport senior correspondent, Ben Jacobs, Steven Gerrard has been earmarked for a return to the club, whilst former Sheffield Wednesday manager, Danny Rohl, is appreciated.
