Comcast Corp., owner of the Sky pay-television business in Europe, is in talks to acquire ITV Plc’s media and entertainment unit in a deal that would dramatically shake up the UK broadcasting landscape, people with knowledge of the matter said. Philadelphia-based Comcast is holding discussions on a potential purchase of the ITV division, which runs its commercial free-to-air TV channel operations in the UK as well as the ITVX streaming platform, the people said. A transaction could value the business at around $2 billion, they said.
