LA Lakers star LeBron James has earned plenty of haters during his 23-year career in the NBA, but none like Skip Bayless. The sportscaster has been critical of the forward throughout his career and took his hate for James to new heights on Halloween.During an appearance on Underground’s show “The Arena," Bayless showed up wearing a LeBron James jersey while carrying a brick in his hand, dubbing himself “LeBrick James.” He then explained the moniker, taking a brutal jab at LeBron in the process."There’s no scarier sight, than LeBrick James trying to make a late game clutch shot," Bayless expressed. However, this is nothing new, as Bayless has always positioned himself as James's biggest critic. The veteran columnist has consistently downplayed the Lakers star’s greatness, frequently challenging his GOAT status while professing unwavering admiration for Michael Jordan. His “LeBrick” moniker reflected his view of James’ shortcomings in clutch moments. Bayless has often criticized the Lakers' star for failing to close out big games, even once infamously claiming that LeBron was not “born with the clutch gene.”Despite his constant jabs and trolling, Bayless has previously admitted that he doesn't "hate" the Lakers icon. In 2023, the veteran analyst claimed he only speaks the “truth” and has never “hated” LeBron."I hate to spoil this party, but I do not hate LeBron James. From the bottom of my heart, I don't hate him. In fact, I hate the misconception that I hate LeBron James. I just tell the truth. ... That often times nobody would tell," Bayless calimed.Skip Bayless rips LeBron James for his fake-out with decision 2.0LeBron James faked the entire world with his "second decision" in October. The Lakers star had many believing the decision would be him announcing his retirement, but rather turned out to be an ad for Hennessey. Many were left infuriated by this fake-out, including Skip Bayless, who ripped James for recreating his iconic moment to "make money.""It was an iconic sports moment because we'd never seen anything like that,” Bayless expressed. “It was a GOAT-ish sort of endeavor… and to take that decision, ‘The Decision,' and stoop to cheapen it, to sell it out? To make money, to launch some new Hennesy brand of Cognac? Really, you would stoop to that LeBron."In the “Decision 2.0” video, James wore the same shirt from his original announcement, momentarily fooling fans. However, the Lakers icon is set to continue his NBA journey despite entering the final year of his contract with the Lakers.
