Six businesses have been recognised for their service with a smile in the tenth edition of Premju Servizz bi Tbissima celebrating businesses that deliver outstanding customer service. The awards, organised by the Malta Competition and Conusmer Affairs Authority, attracted an unprecedented 45,000 consumer votes for over 3,000 nominations across six categories. The authority said this highlighted the “strong enthusiasm of Maltese consumers to recognise companies that go above and beyond in customer care”. Speaking at the award ceremony, parliamentary secretary for social dialogue Andy Ellul emphasised the importance of quality service in strengthening consumer trust. “A business that invests in quality service is ultimately investing in its own future,” Ellul said. “In today’s competitive markets, consumers have a choice. When they do not feel appreciated, they simply do not return. This is the reality of the free market.” The competition featured six categories representing a wide range of service providers and retailers. Scan won the Electronic Products and Household Goods category with its online shop scanmalta.com bagging the award for best Online Local Sellers. The Fashion and Beauty category was won by Decathlon while Micallef Joe Travel won the Travel and Transport Services category. Maypole won the Supermarkets and Mini Markets category and Pet Studio bagged the top prize in the Pet Shops and Gardening category.
