Sissy Spacek is sharing her thoughts about her Die My Love castmates, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson‘s on-screen chemistry. While speaking to Entertainment Weekly in November 2025, Spacek, who plays Jackson’s (Pattinson) mother, Pam, in the Lynne Ramsay-directed film, said she enjoyed Lawrence’s intense scenes as a new mother battling with her mental health, named Grace. Spacek said the volatile moments between Jackson and Grace after becoming parents “were brilliant to watch.” “I mean, there was nothing sexier than watching them fight and then make up. It was incredible,” said Spacek. Sissy Spacek & Jennifer Lawrence Spoke Positively About Each Other In the November 2025 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Spacek said she and Lawrence “had such a connection” while filming Die My Love, which premiered on November 7. “We’ve known each other for years, but this is the first time we’ve worked together. And to watch her play this character, where she would be so present and taking care of Pam,” said the 75-year-old actress. “There was a reversal of roles, so she’d take care of me, and then I would take care of her, and then she would take care of me, and I would take care of her. And I think that she meant everything to Pam. She was her hope for the future.” Lawrence discussed working alongside Spacek in the November 5 episode of the Las Culturistas podcast, hosted by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang. Lawrence said she believed Spacek was “an energetic match” as her scene partner. In addition, the Hunger Games star said Spacek made her Die My Love character her own. “She did so much of that like it wasn’t in the script. She just is such a loving, maternal, and wise woman,” said Lawrence in the podcast episode. Lawrence also shared that Spacek showed her kindness and concern while on set for Die My Love, which is based on Ariana Harwicz’s 2012 book, as she was pregnant with her second child.
